A cache of explosives “capable of taking down the whole building and maybe a few others,” in the words of a police spokesman, was uncovered Tuesday morning at Dirty Dan’s bar near Lindbergh Field.
San Diego Police Sgt. Jim Long said four sticks of C-4, a “flexible plastic explosive,” was found at about 9:40 a.m. The cache was primed with blasting caps and was “ready to go,” he said.
