Former Raider wide receiver Cliff Branch was activated by the Arena Football League’s Los Angeles Cobras Thursday after spending six weeks on the injured reserve list because of pulled groin muscles.
Branch, 39, caught nine passes for 68 yards and a touchdown during the Cobras’ first two games, but has not played since May 6.
Branch had 501 receptions during his National Football League career, which began in 1972 and ended in 1985.
The Cobras also activated quarterback Michael Mendoza and running back-linebacker Richard Prather.
