Two men were arrested on drug charges and a kilogram of cocaine with a street value of $150,000 was seized by Newport Beach police, a police spokesman said Sunday.
Arrested were Stephen Reed Kent, 34, and James Martin Davis, 28, both of Newport Beach, after Kent allegedly sold the cocaine to Davis, a police spokesman said.
Both men had been under surveillance just prior their arrest about 11 a.m. Sunday near the Balboa Fun Zone, the spokesman said.
Armed with a search warrant, police also found several pounds of high-grade marijuana valued about $50,000 inside Kent’s Newport Beach residence.
Both men were arrested on charges of conspiracy to transport cocaine, police said.
