Jim Bush, former UCLA track coach, has joined USC’s program as a volunteer assistant, Trojan Coach Ernie Bullard announced. Bush, 62, will work with the hurdlers.
Hilliard Sumner, formerly the sprint coach at Taft High in Woodland Hills, will be USC’s full-time sprint coach. He replaced George Mehale, now the head track coach at Los Angeles City College.
Mike Bailey, a full-time assistant with the USC women’s team, will also coach the men’s throwers. He replaced Kevin Coyne, who resigned for health reasons.
