Your article on Long Beach’s old Pike (Metro, July 4) took me back to the ‘50s when as children our greatest summer treat was a trip to the Pike. No theme park today can rekindle those magic memories of eating cotton candy and riding the roller coaster over the sea. You better believe it!
By the way, does anyone happen to know the last name of Roy, the Stone Man who’d lay motionless on a slab and people would come to look at him in the sideshow? I have every reason to believe he may be related to me or members of my family who have the same talent, especially at night while watching TV. You better believe it.
