American Legion : District 20 Posts Open Playoffs

The District 20 tournament begins today with Newhall-Saugus (Santa Clarita) playing Reseda (18-8) at 11 a.m. at The Master’s College. Burbank (18-8) faces Studio City (17-9) at 3 p.m.
At Birmingham High, Chatsworth (20-5) plays Van Nuys-Notre Dame (16-10) at 11 a.m., followed by a game between Woodland Hills (West) (22-4) and Encino-Crespi (16-10) at 3.
The championship will be decided Sunday at 11 a.m. at Birmingham. Should the winner’s-bracket champion lose that game, another will played at 3 p.m. The champion and runner-up advance to next week’s area tournament in Pomona.
