Shingo Furuya, general manager of the Hanshin Tigers professional baseball club, was found dead at a Tokyo hotel after apparently jumping to his death from an eighth-floor room, police said.
Metropolitan police said the body of Furuya, 56, was discovered in the Japanese-style garden of the New Otani Hotel in Tokyo. .
Police said they were questioning officials of the Hanshin Tigers to find a possible motive for the death.
