BEIRUT — Three soldiers serving with the U.N. peacekeeping force in southern Lebanon were slightly wounded Wednesday when their jeep hit a land mine, an official said.
“Three Finnish soldiers were wounded . . . near Kantarah inside the security zone when their vehicle went over a mine,” said Timur Goksel, a spokesman for the United Nation’s Interim Force in Lebanon.
Goksel said the soldiers were treated at a field hospital at UNIFIL’s headquarters in the border village of Naqoura, and that “one soldier has already returned to his unit.”
