2 Pro-Choice Nuns Resign From Order

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Two nuns who were threatened with expulsion for supporting a right to an abortion said today that they have resigned from their order.
In June, officials of the Roman Catholic Church had sent word from Rome that they will not proceed with the “process to dismiss” Sisters Barbara Ferraro and Patricia Hussey from the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. Today the nuns said that was justification for their stand and departed.
