Braniff Inc. has announced it will drop more than half of its daily flights from Dallas-Ft. Worth International Airport to focus operations at its hub in Kansas City, Mo. Braniff, which is based at Dallas-Ft. Worth, is expected to announce major service increases at Kansas City today. Beginning Sept. 12, Braniff will suspend direct service between Dallas and Chicago, Miami, New York, Phoenix, San Francisco and Washington. The reduction in service at Dallas-Fort Worth had been anticipated since Dalfort Corp. sold Braniff to BIA-COR Holdings last month.
