Pickup Slams Into Car

MIDLAND, Tex. — A pickup truck slammed into a stalled car, killing four children and an adult passenger and seriously injuring two others, authorities said.
The car carrying seven people was hit Saturday after it stalled while crossing a lane of Highway 80 to reach an access road, officials said. The driver of the truck, who was treated for cuts, was charged with involuntary manslaughter and drunken driving, police said.
