Stable Fire Kills 26 Horses

WAUCONDA, Ill. — Faulty lighting fixtures may have caused a fire that swept through a large stable, killing 26 horses, officials said. Firefighters revived some horses with their air masks in saving about 100 animals in the blaze Saturday.
