NEW YORK — Authorities deemed accidental a synagogue fire in Brooklyn that injured a rabbi and his wife early Saturday, just a week after six Torahs at a nearby temple were burned.
Rabbi Solomon Friedman and his wife suffered burns on their feet and three firefighters suffered minor injuries, officials said.
Fire officials said the blaze at Bais Hamedrash Synagogue apparently was not related to the one about 11 blocks away a week ago. The first fire was believed set by two children.
