The Western Region of the Federal Savings & Loan Insurance Corp. (FSLIC) has signed a five-year lease, valued at $4.3 million, for 41,000 square feet of office space in the Pacific Mutual Building, 523 W. 5th St.
Since 1985, FSLIC has occupied about half the space, 21,000 square feet, in the 62-year-old landmark building adjacent to the Biltmore Hotel.
Coldwell Banker represented FSLIC in the transaction, while Westgroup Partners represented the owners, PacTel Properties, a unit of the Pacific Telesis Group.
