Petrified Movie?

Is this a record? Director Clyde Ware just completed post production on “Another Time, Another Place” starring Martin Sheen-- 16 1/2 years after the start of principle photography!
Ware calls it “a variation on ‘The Petrified Forest’ ” about a man in transit who falls for a small-town waitress (played by Alexandra Hay) who follows him to New York City.
Personal problems of Ware’s interfered with production, he said, and the movie was shelved. But earlier this year, his producing partner, Joseph Woulk, suggested updating the picture.
Ware gave it a modern twist--with the waitress’ daughter tracking down two men (Sheen and Rod McCarey) from her mother’s past--and the original material now in flashback. McCarey was available, but not Sheen--so Ware hired Sheen’s look-alike younger brother, actor Joseph Estevez, to play the character in the present.
“Marty gave his blessing,” said Ware, who’s looking for a distributor.
