Mullin Scores 33 as Warriors Win

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Chris Mullin scored 33 points, including the first 6 in a decisive 8-0 spurt that lifted the Golden State Warriors to a 100-96 victory Monday night over the New Jersey Nets.
The Warriors, who have defeated New Jersey 6 straight times at the Meadowlands since 1983, trailed, 92-90, with 5:33 left when Mullin took over.
He made 4 free throws and added a basket before 2 free throws by Manute Bol put the Warriors ahead, 98-92, with 3 minutes left.
Consecutive baskets by John Bagley got New Jersey close, but 2 free throws by Golden State’s Mitch Richmond concluded the scoring with 1:25 left.
Richmond finished with 21 points for Golden State.
