Colorado will play Brigham Young in the Freedom Bowl game at Anaheim Stadium Dec. 29, Tom Starr, the game’s director, said Monday. The official invitations will be extended Saturday.
Colorado played in the 1985 Freedom Bowl and lost. BYU played in the 1986 game and helped draw a record crowd of 51,214 but lost, 31-10, to UCLA.
Colorado is 7-3 this season and BYU is 8-2.
