Arraingment of 2 Ministers Delayed

An arraignment for two Chula Vista Pentecostal ministers was delayed Tuesday after their attorneys filed a legal challenge to their misdemeanor charges of failing to report suspected child molestation by another minister.
The Rev. Arthur Hodges, 32, and his assistant, George Nobbs, 32, of the South Bay Pentecostal Church appeared in court Tuesday.
They are accused of failing to report that another minister molested two girls.
The attorneys filed a demurrer to the charges, a legal challenge which will be heard Jan. 27.
Attorney Christopher Schatz said the San Diego County district attorney’s office erred in filing the case together with that of Pastor Lyn Meche, 38, who faces a separate preliminary hearing Jan. 17. Meche has pleaded innocent.
