Local News in Brief : Yorba Linda : Police Seek Suspect in Fatal Shooting

Police were searching Sunday night for a suspect in the fatal shooting of a young man at a 7-Eleven convenience store in Yorba Linda.
The identity of the victim was not disclosed late Sunday pending notification of next of kin.
The shooting took place about 5:10 p.m. at a 7-Eleven store at the corner of Fairmont and Yorba Linda boulevards. Police said the victim and his assailant apparently knew each other. There was no sign of robbery.
Orange County firefighters treated the victim at the scene. He was flown by helicopter to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, where he was pronounced dead. He suffered several gunshot wounds to the head and torso, police said.
Police described the suspect as a white man in his mid-20s who was driving a late-model, white Ford pickup truck.
