A 6-month-old Latino baby was found about 6 p.m. Sunday in bushes near the road at Interstate 5 and Dairy Mart Road, police said.
A Border Patrol agent found the baby, who was wrapped in a blanket near the same area where another infant was found Jan. 6, said Bill Robinson, San Diego police spokesman. The boy was turned over to San Diego police, then taken to the Hillcrest Receiving Home, a county emergency shelter for abused children, where he was in good physical condition Monday, said Yolanda Thomas, spokeswoman for the home.
Police have no information on the background of the baby or his parents.
