San Diego homicide detectives are investigating the slaying of a Vietnamese man shot in his home Thursday night.
The victim, whose name was not immediately available, apparently answered a knock at the door about 8:30 p.m. and was shot several times, Lt. Jim Collins said. He died almost instantly, police said.
The man’s wife and children were at the home in the 4100 block of Polk Avenue and witnessed the shooting, Collins said.
Police are seeking three Asian men dressed in black clothing in connection with the crime. Witnesses said the attackers fled on foot.
There was no known motive in the slaying, Collins said.
