THE PREPS : Junior Varsity Team at Ocean View Forced to Forfeit 14 Victories

Ocean View High School’s junior varsity basketball team has forfeited 14 victories for using an ineligible player.

John Myers, Ocean View’s principal, said Friday the school would forfeit the victories and that the player was no longer enrolled at Ocean View. School officials had learned the youngster was not officially living within the Huntington Beach Union High School District.

Myers declined to identify the player.
