A test that can help high school students determine whether they have an aptitude for engineering or technology will be offered Saturday at Rancho Santiago College.
The 3-hour examination, called the National Engineering Aptitude Search, is given at designated institutions throughout the country each year. Rancho Santiago College is the only Orange County college to offer this examination, which will be given again April 8, college spokesman Henry Kertman said.
The aptitude test Saturday will begin at 9 a.m. and end about noon. There is a $15 fee, Kertman said.
The aptitude test includes questions designed to assess mathematical understanding and knowledge of science. The test also includes a personal-interest inventory and a biographical questionnaire.
For more information, call Rancho Santiago engineering instructor Don Deeley at (714) 667-3237. The college is located at 17th and Bristol streets in Santa Ana.
