BFM Aerospace Corp. has signed a letter of intent to purchase Deerfield, Ill.-based Grabill Aerospace Industries. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Both privately held companies are engaged in the design and manufacture of high-quality precision engineered components and subsystems for aerospace and defense markets. The combined sales of the companies are expected to be more than $280 million in 1989. BFM is headquartered in Irvine.
