BOSTON — The pilot of one of the hourly Eastern Airlines shuttle flights from New York to Boston suffered chest pains today and the co-pilot had to land the plane, an airline spokeswoman said.
There were no problems with the 100 passengers and six crew members on board the Boeing 727, and the landing was not classified as an emergency, she said. The pilot, whose name Eastern would not release, was conscious on landing and was taken by ambulance to a Boston hospital.
