UPS to Build Facility: United Parcel Service announced plans to construct a $68-million facility at Ontario International Airport. The air hub facility will be located on 160 acres adjacent to the airport and will include a 500,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art sorting facility. The operation will employ about 1,450 people, with direct payroll to exceed $29 million when it reaches capacity in 1995. Ground breaking is expected later this year. Ontario’s city council has unanimously approved the project.
