Altadena : Summer Buses to Beaches

The county Tuesday approved a $32,000 program that will provide summer bus service to Santa Monica State Beach from Altadena and La Crescenta.
Under the plan, in its eighth year in Altadena and its sixth in La Crescenta, riders will pay $1 for a round trip. Buses will stop at three locations in each city.
Buses will run on Thursday and Saturday between June 24 and July 22. Five-day-a-week service--with Wednesdays and Sundays off--will begin July 24 and end Sept. 2.
