“This is one big place, this Texas is awesome,” William (Walkin’ Willie) Croker said this week while resting in a Dallas hotel room before continuing his walk across America for cancer awareness. “I’ve been here (Texas) 16 to 17 days,” said Croker, of Hawaiian Gardens, who is scheduled to arrive in Hope, Ark., on Friday. He said he is sunburned and has blistered feet.
