Kim Blair, 71; Former Times Writer, Editor

Kim Blair, a writer and editor in the View section of the Los Angeles Times for 20 years, died Thursday of cancer at the age of 71.
She had retired in 1981, and died at her home in Pasadena. Before joining The Times in 1961, she had worked as a society editor and reporter at newspapers in Pasadena and Salt Lake City.
Survivors include her husband, William, one son and four grandchildren.
