Regent Reappointed: Gov. George Deukmejian has reappointed Meredith J. Khachigian of San Clemente to a 12-year term on the UC Board of Regents. Khachigian, 44, has been on the board since 1987. She has also been a member of the state Commission for the Review of the Master Plan for Higher Education. She is the wife of attorney Kenneth L. Khachigian, one of the governor’s political advisers.
