One block of Wilshire Boulevard will be closed overnight for the next four days during construction of a sculpture, city officials announced.
Wilshire between Franklin and Berkeley streets will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting today through Sunday. Traffic will be rerouted to Santa Monica Boulevard.
The city’s Arts Commission is sponsoring the installation of a 42-foot steel sculpture resembling an ocean wave over Wilshire at Franklin as a so-called “Gateway to Santa Monica.”
