New York State Files Suit Over Fatal Bridge Collapse

ALBANY, N.Y. — New York state has filed a $114-million suit against contractors, designers and engineers of a thruway bridge that collapsed and killed 10 motorists, the state attorney general’s office said Thursday. The bridge, a 540-foot span completed in 1954, collapsed in April, 1987.
