Furor Over GOP Memo on Foley

Ethics and morality are wonderful and important things in Congress as elsewhere. But right now I think there are more pressing problems facing our nation than witch hunts to weed out evildoers. Time needs to be spent on such problems as the national debt, crime, drugs and the needs of the poor and homeless.
Furthermore, this witch hunt is not about ethics and morality but about getting even. It’s also about the GOP finding a way to take over Congress so that we can have the totalitarian government that House Minority Whip Newt Gingrich and his ilk have longed for for so long.
