If you want to celebrate the start of summer, here’s one nice way to do it. Saturday night from 7-9 the Urban Gourmet, 132 W. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena, will host a wine tasting with all the proceeds going to benefit Villa Esperanza and the Crippled Children’s Society.
Wines from Santa Ynez, Santa Barbara, Sanford, Gainey and Zaca Mesa wineries will be poured; an appetizer buffet is being cooked up by the Parkway Grill’s Lorraine Oakley with desserts from Cafe Jacoulet’s Ron Barbata and breads from the Old Town Bakery.
The price is $25 per person. Reservations required: (818) 577-0100.
