Birtcher has opened its first office in the San Bernardino-Riverside area, emphasizing the importance of the area to the enormous Laguna Niguel developer.
The new office will be in Ontario in San Bernardino County. The developer said the office will allow it to more quickly identify good deals in the area.
Birtcher has several projects in the area; the most visible is Riverside Marketplace, a 200-acre redevelopment project in downtown Riverside.
Birtcher is renovating some older buildings and will also build offices and shops for the project, said the company, which owns a $3-billion real estate portfolio.
