U.S. Halts Delivery of Boeing Planes to China

HONG KONG — China’s state airline is unable to take delivery of five Boeing airliners because the U.S. government has frozen licenses for technical exports to China, banking sources said Wednesday.
An unidentified Hong Kong banking source said the Seattle-based company was to have started delivering the aircraft to the China Aviation Adminstration Corp. this week.
A U.S. banker said Washington was unlikely to ease the sanction.
