Commercial Scene : Defense Contractor to Headquarter in San Diego

Scientific Atlanta Inc., a defense contractor, has broken ground on a new headquarters building inside Pardee Construction Co.’s Sabre Springs Business Park in San Diego.
The business park borders the east side of Interstate 15, about one-half mile north of Poway Road. Scientific Atlanta’s $10-million, one-story building will have 108,483 square feet of office and light-manufacturing space when it is completed in January, 1990.
The San Diego division of Koll Construction Co. is general contractor for the building. San Diego-based Conwell-Marshall & Associates is the architect and Coldwell Banker is exclusive leasing agent.
