Arson detectives are investigating a fire that swept through a North Hollywood trade school, causing $150,000 in damages, fire officials said Sunday.
Ten companies of firefighters took about 40 minutes to extinguish the fire, which was reported close to midnight Saturday at IADE American Schools in the 11300 block of Vanowen Street, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Greg Acevedo said.
Witnesses said they saw smoke billowing from the rear of the structure, he said.
No injuries were reported.
