FBI agents arrested former cab driver Richard H. Clack at his San Francisco home on charges that he committed a dozen burglaries and robberies nationwide and made off with up to $1 million in paintings, tapestries and Oriental rugs. Barry W. Mawn, assistant special agent in charge of the FBI office in San Francisco, said Clack, 31, was arrested when an Albuquerque, N.M., rug dealer spotted carpets in a San Francisco gallery that were stolen from her store. FBI agents seized several paintings stolen from a Boston gallery, including works by John Ross Key and Theodore Wendel worth $45,000 to $60,000.
