Iran Redrafts Constitution to Put President in Charge

NICOSIA, Cyprus — Obeying one of the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini’s last instructions, Iran has redrafted its constitution to abolish the post of prime minister and make the next president the Islamic republic’s chief executive, Tehran Radio said Wednesday.
