Oravetz Takes Second in Oregon Bicycle Race

Gregg Oravetz of Huntington Beach was second overall in the Central Oregon Cycle Classic Sunday in Bend, Ore.

Mike Carter was the overall winner with a cumulative time of 10 hours 46 minutes 34 seconds. Oravetz’s time was 10:46:43.

Bruce Whitesel of Littleton, Colo. won the final 40-lap race on Sunday with a time of 1:33:03. Oravetz was eighth with a time of 1:33:17.
