Irvine : Plans for Golf Course Will Be Discussed
- Share via
Irvine residents are invited to present their views on the county’s plans to build an 18-hole golf course on an undeveloped area of Mason Regional Park in Irvine near Quail Hill.
A meeting of the Community Services Commission, which will consider the matter, is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Irvine City Council chambers at City Hall.
The county’s Environmental Management Agency endorsed a proposal to build a golf course at a site on University Drive near the terminus of Michelson Drive.
However, the county--which operates the park--is receptive to other ideas, and city officials said they are eager to hear alternative proposals by residents.
Two golf course plans, with different configurations, will be presented at the meeting.
