LOCAL : Body Found in Lopez Canyon Area

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a woman who was found shot to death this morning on a street in the Lopez Canyon area, authorities said.
The body of the unidentified woman was found by a Los Angeles police officer on patrol at 3:36 a.m. in the 12300 block of Paxton Avenue, Sgt. Bryan Williams said.
That part of Paxton Avenue is in a small unincorporated area between Lake View Terrace and Pacoima, and Los Angeles police officers routinely use the street when driving between the two areas.
Williams said detectives have not determined a motive for the shooting and have no suspects.
