The part owner of a film production company was shot to death on a residential street in Northridge, Los Angeles police reported Wednesday.
Theodore Joseph Snyder, 47, of Woodland Hills was found shot several times in the upper body Tuesday night, Lt. Ron Lewis said. There were no suspects and no known motive for the slaying, he said.
Snyder was a part owner of VCR Inc., a company based in Canoga Park. Lewis said police received reports Wednesday that the company was involved in the adult film business but had not confirmed that.
Police said it was unclear why Snyder was in the Northridge neighborhood at the time of the shooting. At least six shots were fired, and the victim’s body was found by someone who was walking in the area, police said.
The investigation, which Lewis said is expected to be “complex,” was assigned to the Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Division, which primarily handles long-term investigations.
