Pan Am Corp.: The New York airline company reported a second-quarter loss of $7.7 million, compared to a loss of $5 million in the same period a year ago. Revenue was down 1.7% to $909.4 million. The results include a gain of $92.1 million on the sale of the firm’s contract services subsidiary and expenses of $28.2 million associated with the company’s unsuccessful bid for NWA Inc.
