A burglar dubbed “The Weasel” has been pilfering canned food, flashlights and toilet paper from cabins in the Diablo Range that borders Stanislaus and Santa Clara counties. “It sounds like a . . . person up there is stealing what he needs to survive,” Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Capt. Les Weidman said. The burglar, who’s been seen several times, has broken into more than 30 cabins over the last four months.
