“Candid Camera” creator Alan Funt and Fox Broadcasting have settled Funt’s lawsuit against the new Fox TV series, “Totally Hidden Video.” To prevent the case from going to court, Fox has agreed to pay Funt’s attorney fees, publicly thank him for uncovering the program’s use of actors and promise to take measures to ensure the integrity of the “Candid Camera”-type show in the future. Funt originally had sought a restraining order to prevent the show from airing, claiming it had ripped off classic segments from “Candid Camera.”
