LOCAL : Tustin Man Charged in Auto Death

A 38-year-old Tustin man has been charged with drunk driving and manslaughter after his car is reported to have struck another vehicle at El Camino Real and Main Street in Tustin, killing one woman and critically injuring two others.
Stephen Wayne Drysdale was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Sunday after his car struck an auto with three unidentified women inside. One passenger, about 40 years old, was killed instantly. Two others, age 17 and 25, suffered severe internal injuries and were taken to Western Medical Center.
According to police, Drysdale’s car crashed into a curb about 100 yards from the collision site and he ran from the scene. Police searched the area and arrested him several minutes later.
Drysdale is being held in Orange County jail on $50,000 bail. Arraignment is set for this afternoon. An autopsy on the victim is also scheduled later today.
