Placentia police on Tuesday were seeking a heavyset man suspected of fleeing after his car collided with a parked car, injuring his passenger.
The passenger, identified as Juan Salazzar, whose age and hometown were not immediately available, was treated for minor injuries at Placentia-Linda Community Hospital and released, police dispatcher Curt Blodbett said.
The driver, described as having brown hair and wearing a gray shirt and tan pants, left his white 1978 Ford Granada on Bradford Avenue, south of Madison Avenue, after the car collided with a legally parked car shortly before 8 a.m., Blodbett said.
Police said the man ran in a southwesterly direction after the accident.
