A U.S. District Court jury in Duluth, Minn., has convicted a Van Nuys company and two of its officers of distributing obscene materials through the mail.
The jury returned the verdict Tuesday against Diverse Industries Inc., Robert Easley of Los Angeles, chief executive officer, and Jacquelyn Hunter of North Hollywood, general manager.
The defendants were accused of mailing pornographic magazines and videocassettes to Minnesota in late 1987 and and early 1988.
Judge Paul Magnuson set sentencing for later this summer. Each officer faces a maximum penalty of $250,000 in fines and up to 10 years in prison on each of four counts.
